REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements for this course include regular attendance, with active and informed participation in class and in sections; two course papers (a midterm paper of 5 pages, and a final paper of 7-9 pages), weekly writing assignments (always posted on the web), and the memorization of any 20 line passage from a play of your choice. Importantly, because the weekly assignments are designed to inform class and section discussion, no assignment will be accepted late.
SECTIONS:
Attendance is mandatory, and part of your participation grade for the course. Sections will begin the first week of classes. Section leaders are Sarah Keller (skeller@uchicago.edu), Michael Meewis (mmeeuwis@uchicago.edu) and Aidan Jonson (hogarth@uchicago.edu). All sections will meet on Fridays. Your section will be posted on the course website on the Thursday of the first week, so be sure to check it to see what section you are in (including leader, place and time).
